10 on 10 – May

How is it already time for May’s 10 on 10? Yesterday was Mother’s Day and all my chores waited for me until today.  Another non eventful 10 on 10, but still fun as usual.

The explanation: I learned about 10 on 10 from Alysha Gray  (in January via Twitter, see my other 10 on 10’s) and believe it was started by Rebekah.  As Rebekah says “take a photo once an hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth of each month. document a snapshot of your life and find beauty among the ordinary things …

10 on 10 – April

Time for my April 10 on 10.  It was a boring Saturday of chores around the house, but we did end up with an unexpected babysitter and grabbed dinner in Gruene. Ordinary day – that’s the point, right?

10 on 10 – March

I almost forgot my March  10 on 10.  It was my sweetheart’s birthday and the kids and I had lots of fun things planned. Glad Alysha reminded me!

You Capture – Shapes

Through participating in the 10 on 10 for February, I stumbled on a cool project called You Capture by Beth (Blog’s named I Should be Folding Laundry – don’t I know it). There is a new assignment each week.

Background Noise

My advice for anyone with a camera . . .
Eliminate the background noise

You can solve the problem of photography background noise in two easy steps:
#1 – Pay Attention To Detail.
#2 – Move Yourself.
I’m a voyeur. Looking at pictures is one of my favorite things to do and I don’t even have to know the people in them. Sometimes I spend hours hopping from site to site looking at photos that catch my eye. Most of the photos I’m intrigued by are ordinary snapshots from everyday life. But, I also have …

10 on 10 – February

I enjoyed my February attempt at 10 on 10.  It was a fairly mundane day of running errands and boring mom type stuffs; this project helps me remember that there is beauty among the ordinary . . .

10 on 10 – January

I learned about 10 on 10 from Alysha Gray a few days ago on Twitter and I’m pretty sure it was started by a blogger named Rebekah. As Rebekah says “take a photo once an hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth of each month. document a snapshot of your life and find beauty amoung the ordinary things of your day.”
So here’s my first try – I found a little beauty among the ordinary . . .

That was fun! Can’t wait to do it next month.

visitors in the trees

These little voyeurs were watching us through the back window the other morning or maybe it was the other way around. I wish I made more time for Betsy (my camera).
